Maison Van Cleef & Arpels - 22-24 Place Vendôme - 2

Van Cleef & Arpels - Paris

SECONDE PHASE

Jouin Manku has once again teamed up with Van Cleef & Arpels to renovate its Place Vendôme boutique in Paris. The new layout offers a renewed experience, while retaining the same spirit of excellence that has characterized every collaboration between the Maison de Haute Joaillerie and the design agency since 2006.
The duo have thus had the honor of revisiting one of their most beautiful and memorable creations: the Maison Van Cleef & Arpels, Place Vendôme, Paris. Jouin Manku first met Van Cleef & Arpels in 2006, when the agency was commissioned to renovate the Maison at 22-24 Place Vendôme. Jouin Manku was again asked to revisit his first project, with a complete renovation of the spaces and the addition, in the main boutique, of a new floor full of exclusive surprises reserved for its most loyal customers.

The first floor has been carefully redesigned and shaped to accommodate the customer areas and showcases, designed especially for the occasion and inspired by the scenographic work the agency has been carrying out for Van Cleef & Arpels for several years. The vast showcases offer an almost museographic setting, inviting visitors to wander and explore to discover the full range of Van Cleef & Arpels craftsmanship.
The newly renovated space now covers two levels. And to draw visitors upstairs, the Jouin Manku agency imagined a small pathway, like the entrance to Alice's Wonderland, leading to a carved wooden staircase that gently spirals up to the upper level.
The first floor features a constellation of small, intimate salons, delicately adorned with abstract plaster flowers gilded in white gold leaf, which radiate out from the central atrium delimited by a spectacular metal balustrade inspired by the same arabesques.

Le Salon des Parfums

A visit to the Van Cleef & Arpels boutique would be unthinkable without a visit to 22, Place Vendôme. Dedicated to the Van Cleef & Arpels perfume collection, the space is almost museum-like. The bottles are theatricalized, each presented within the corrugations that form the walls. A rigid curtain, as it were, clad entirely in fabric, creates the illusion of paintings in relief, floating as if by magic. At the center of each painting is a vertical panel of ultra-fine white Sèvres porcelain, from which springs an oak shelf serving as a display for the perfume bottle. The assembly is sublimated by precise lighting to suggest an impression of weightlessness, further enhanced by the brilliance of the porcelain, the softness of the wood and the colors of the precious elixirs.
At the center of the Salon is a cantilevered console, which naturally houses delicate porcelain and oak testers, each offering a different fragrance.
