The first time we visited La Mamounia, we had that strange and comforting sensation of time slowing down, of life becoming simpler. Keeping hold of that feeling, we walked around the different spaces, breathing in their potential.

Staying at La Mamounia should be a succession of unique experiences, with the different restaurants being the main player in promoting this adventure. Both the Italian and Asian restaurants, under the management of Jean-Georges Vongerichten have been transformed.

After rethinking the restaurants, we turned our minds to surprises for the guests. The first one is Pierre Hermé's salon de thé, designed around the principles of Moroccan tearooms with their banquettes facing one another along the walls. The water reflects a huge glass chandelier.

The Churchill Bar, the cinema, the pool bar, the oenothèque, the pool pavilion, and the Moroccan bar are added to the list of spaces reinvented by the agency and each of them has its personality.

The lanterns and the wine bar are probably the most spectacular concept, in the middle of the lush greenery, three large lanterns which house a wine bar and two private lounges. A way to breathe energy into this part which once formed a sort of barrier between the hotel and the swimming pool, but also the possibility of creating a warm place through the woodwork.
