With Opale, the project builds on a first chair introduced last year. That initial piece established the foundations of a design, a level of comfort and a distinct presence. The intention here was to move beyond a single object and develop it into a cohesive family.
The collection is conceived to unfold across a variety of contexts, from restaurants to hotels, from terraces to interior spaces, creating a continuous dialogue from one table to another.
Based on the original model, several typologies have been developed: a more compact version with armrests, as well as a high stool with armrests. These variations allow for a coherent ensemble, where different seating types, heights and rhythms can be combined while maintaining a shared identity.
Each piece retains the essential lines of the initial design. The fluidity of the silhouette, the balance of proportions, the enveloping backrest and the generosity of the seat are all preserved with precision. Nothing is added, everything is extended.
Particular attention is given to the backrest. From the outset, it integrates a grip area within the form itself. A discreet gesture, naturally embedded in the design, that allows the chair to be moved without interrupting the continuity of the line.
More compact and visually lighter, these new typologies expand the range of uses of Opale. They make it possible to structure a space and organise a setting, while preserving both comfort and the formal coherence of the collection.
