During the 20th edition of the Best of Year Awards organized by Interior Design, the TA.TAMU chair and the DROP tables were honored in the Technology and Occasional Tables categories, respectively.
We would like to warmly thank Interior Design and its editorial team for this recognition, as well as all the partners and teams who contributed to the realization of these projects.
TA.TAMU is the result of an algorithmic design process in which form emerges directly from structural logic. Conceived for maximum material efficiency, the chair develops a new aesthetic guided by performance, lightness, and precision of design. Developed with Dassault Systèmes and produced with ERPRO Group, it illustrates an approach in which technology becomes a tool of accuracy and meaning.
The DROP tables are part of the launch of Patrick Jouin Edition, a new chapter for the studio, marking the decision to directly edit selected pieces. Here, material serves as the starting point for the design, giving rise to tables with essential forms and vibrant surfaces, available as coffee tables and occasional tables.
These distinctions recognize a shared approach, in which each piece is conceived as an extension of architectural thinking, at the intersection of design, research, and engineering.
