"L'ANIMA : DU TRAIT à L'OBJET" (FROM LINE TO OBJECT)

For Paris Design Week, Patrick Jouin collaborated with RBC Paris for the exhibition "L'anima: du trait à l'objet", held from September 6 to 23 at the RBC Mobilier showroom in Paris. The installation celebrated nine years of collaboration between the designer and the Italian company Pedrali, exploring the inspiration, the idea, the drawing and the entire creative process right up to the presentation of the product. Design gives soul to a functional object. Here, the drawing bears witness to a desire, a proposal adapted to the choice of materials, their consumption and their duration.
The protagonists of the space are the designs, prototypes and products conceived by Patrick Jouin for Pedrali during the years of collaboration. From Ester, the perfect synthesis of ergonomics, elegance and functionality, designed to furnish the interiors of some of the most representative restaurants and hotels on the international scene, to the latest models such as the Ila armchair, a precious piece of furniture with a strong personality, Héra, a small wooden armchair that embodies the concepts of lightness and comfort, and the Reva Cocoon system of outdoor lounge seats with woven backs, not forgetting the Elliot table, with its delicate, slender shapes, and the Social sofa.
