In June 2002, as part of a public commission by the
city of Vallauris Golfe-Juan (France) and the Délégation
aux arts plastiques of the french Ministry of
Culture, Patrick Jouin and the potter Gérard Crociani created a set of three tableware pieces by glazed chamotted terracotta, named: "Chaud-chaud",
"Chaud-froid", "Froid-froid".
These objects combine to
varying degrees the individual and the collective, intimacy and sharing, the
utilitarian and the decorative.
